GAIN AN ADVANCED UNDERSTANDING ON WORKING AROUND ELECTRIC & HYBRID VEHICLES

 

COURSE OVERVIEW

Having completed the course, the learner has gained a advanced understanding of EV & Hybrid Vehicles, eliminating the fears around working with EV and Hybrid vehicles. The learner has been shown the various loads and unloads of alternatively-fuelled vehicles.

The learner must have previously completed the 7-Hour EV and HybridAWARE Module
covering all theoretical underpinning knowledge, prior to completing a knowledge refresher section, prior to moving onto the practical assessment phase.

This training can be completed in line with the IMI (or equivalent) L2 Hazard
Management for the Emergency Services and Recovery Personnel L2 qualification to award 14-hours CPC. On completion of the Oral Assessment the delegate would have completed a Total Training Time of 15-hours. 

All training has been delivered by an instructor with a minimum L3 IMI EV. By attending this course, the learner has covered the following specific topics

IN-PERSON

On completion, the delegate will be have covered the following topics:

 

Hazards associated with EV & Hybrid Vehicles

Awareness of legislation surrounding EV & Hybrid Vehicles

An understanding of internal company policies with regard to EV & Hybrid Vehicles

The key components of the EV & Hybrid side and how to power up and power down these systems safely (if required and inline with HSE guidelines).

Discuss and identify the requirements when dealing with hybrid vehicle failure and breakdown procedures

 Risk assessments of EV & Hybrid Vehicles and how to prevent dangers associated with EV & Hybrid vehicles
 
 Carry out the safe loading of an Alternatively-Fuelled Vehicles
